About me (& this site)

Hi, I'm Michael aka Flummic - welcome to my corner of the web!
This site is my digital playground: a place where I give myself the permission to experiment and explore. As an Enneagram Type 7 ("The Enthusiast"), I have more interests than I can count and that’s one of the reasons why I started this blog!
I’m not sure what will end up here (the future will decide). I want to slowly cultivate this Digital Garden into a deeply personal space for whatever I feel like sharing! Expect a wide variety of topics: reflections about life, tutorials, reviews, travel stories, experiments... You name it!
Curious about what I’m up to right now? Feel free to check out my Now-Page!

Manifesto
Here are the guiding principles for this website. These are very important to me, which is why I am cementing them in this manifesto:
1. Human Content (no AI)
This site is a space for real people and real thoughts. You’ll find only hand-written, authentic content here (no AI-generated articles or clickbait). I want to share genuine thoughts, learnings and experiences from my life!
2. Respectful Privacy
Privacy matters. I avoid invasive analytics, trackers, and unnecessary ads wherever possible! Further details can be found in my privacy policy.
3. Independence and Openness
I value the open web: a place where individuals, not corporations, shape the landscape. I prioritize open-source tools, transparency, fair credit, and a DIY spirit. I'm always open to constructive criticism.
4. Intentional Content (No Spam)
Nowadays noise is everywhere. In this environment I want Flummic.com to be a calm sanctuary filled with intentional thoughts, real experiences and honest opinions - no filler, no fluff and no bs.
5. Minimal, Sustainable, Low-Maintenance
I strive to declutter and minimize both my physical and my digital life. This site aims to be clutter-free and sustainable. I`ll try to keep things simple.
6. Learning in Public (Garage door open)
I believe in growth and lifelong learning. I’ll share not just polished and finished work, but also mistakes, experiments, questions, and works-in-progress.
7. Accessible & Welcoming
I want this site to be open to everyone, regardless of background. I will also moderate a welcoming and respectful environment which is in line with my values!
8. Personal Views & Opinions
All opinions expressed on this blog are my own and do not reflect the views of anyone else I`m involved with. I am always open to change my opinion, if there are good factual and objective reasons to do so.
Code of Conduct
This site is meant to be a warm, welcoming and friendly place for everyone. For this reason I ask you to follow this code of conduct.
I also won't use this site as a platform for spam, hate, or harmful content.
I don't plan to remove any (critical) comments on this site, but I will moderate interactions that violate the spirit of this Code of Conduct.
